Keith Hartwig is an artist, designer and researcher working in the fields of Science and Technology Studies, Media and Spatial Practice. His practice explores the spatial, cultural and civic dimensions of environmental and technological networks. Keith graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 2018 with a Master of Design Studies in Art, Design and the Public Domain. Prior to graduate studies, he taught in the department of Visual Studies at Temple University and the College of Architecture and the Built Environment at Philadelphia University.
Keith has given presentations of his work at Ars Electronica, SXSW Cities Summit, The Institute of Network Culture, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art Media Lab. His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows at various galleries including Little Berlin, the Esther Klein Gallery, Flux Factory NYC, and Temple Contemporary. Keith joined Metalab @ Harvard in 2017 where he continues to develop research and projects for the Networks + Natures initiative.
